Lately I have been a little upset with some of the bartenders here in good ol' Scottsdale. Perhaps my frustrations are unwarranted; alas that is the reason for this article.

As a community of alcoholics and creators thereof, let us settle the garnishing debate once and for all! No more will we see a lime hanging aimlessly from a whiskey coke, a lemon ruining a vodka tonic, or a cherry... ever.

Below are some simple garnishing rules and guidelines. Garnishing is a controversial topic, so let the debate begin.

"Take it from the people that work in the industry, there are certain unwritten rules that you (the bar/club goer) should never break if you want good service and want to avoid being labeled as "that guy/girl" or a complete jackass.

Tonight is the big night! The Arizona Nightlife Industry Awards ceremony starts at 7:30pm at the Tempe Improv located on the NE corner of Rural and University.

Tickets cost $25 and include food, two complimentary drink tickets, and special musical and comedic performances throughout the night. The food will be catered by Sol Y Sombra and comedians Travis Thurman and Bobby Slaton are set to perform.
