It may sound surprising to some, especially after just throwing a huge 2 Year Anniversary Party, but Saddle Ranch Scottsdale is for sale!  And that isn't the only bar, Cherry, Sugar Daddy's, Upper Deck, and Maloney's are all for sale too.

Let's make something very clear, Saddle Ranch Scottsdale isn't for sale because it can't pay the bills.  In fact, it is quite the opposite!  Owner Larry Pollack is ready to cash out on his Saddle Ranch franchise and head towards easy street.

The hugely successful franchise, founded in 1999, now has 2 locations here in Arizona and 2 in California.

An owner of a popular Chicago restaurant once told me, "You don't get rich owning restaurants, you get rich selling them." (Not sure if he still owns it or not...)

I wouldn't expect anything at any Saddle Ranch to change once the franchise has been purchased.  Except maybe we'll start seeing Larry sitting at his reserved bar seat!

Cherry's and Sugar Daddy's owners aren't nearly as fortunate.  For those who do not know, Peter S. Lebsock, co-owner of Dos Gringos (which included 5 Dos Gringos, 2 Bada Boom Pasta Rooms, Tanked Fish, Sugar Daddy's and Cherry), was convicted of Federal Income Tax Evasion in 2008 - read more here.

As a result, Dos Gringos started liquidizing assets; aka selling bars.  Tanked Fish and Bada Boom were the first to go, Sugar Daddy's, which is currently closed, is up for auction and Cherry, which is still profitable, is on the market for just over $500,000.

Not interested in any of those locations?  For a cool $1.7 million you can buy what used to be Maloney's in Tempe.  If that's too expensive, buy a successful sports bar like Upper Deck for $700,000.
